MSPNews: Mformation Spreading the Word about Mobile Device Management for the Enterprise at ITEXPO

With the surge of mobile devices and the rise of BYOD in the enterprise, the need for mobile device management for the enterprise is perhaps more important than ever before.

Fortunately for enterprises out there, mobile device management is possible due to a company named Mformation, which got its roots in mobile 11 years ago when the company first offered mobile device management for Blackberry – back when Blackberry was the only game in town. More than a decade later, Mformation has emerged as a provider of management solutions for all sorts of devices from mobile phones to a host of computing devices and other connected consumer and enterprise machines.

Today, Mformation has about 50 mobile carrier customers worldwide including AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile, and the company manages close to 500 million devices worldwide. Although it’s been in the space for years, last year Mformation began directing its attention specifically toward the enterprise market particularly because enterprise mobility has burgeoned rapidly. According to officials, the real challenge that exists if you are able to make enterprise mobility a reality is you need to provide a degree of management in terms of how you secure your device, how you make applications available, and how you enforce compliance. That’s where Mformation comes in.

“We allow managed service providers to enforce corporate compliance, corporate security, and corporate governance on mobile devices,” Dr. Rakesh Kushwaha, chief technology officer and co-founder of Mformation, told MSP News™ today at ITEXPO East 2012, which is taking place right now from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3.
