Wireless Week: Xohm goes live in Baltimore
Xohm, Sprint’s mobile WiMAX network, became commercially available today for customers in Baltimore, Md. Sprint expects to turn on Washingon, D.C., and Chicago next.
Sprint is currently spinning Xohm off into a joint venture with Clearwire. Last week, the FCC’s Kevin Martin said signing off on the Sprint-Clearwire joint venture was a top priority for his agency to complete before the end of the year.
