mFormation Announces Patent for Remote Control and Management of Wireless Devices

Patent award demonstrates growing importance of the MDM market for end-to-end solutions addressing all major networks including CDMA, GPRS and wCDMA networks

EDISON, New Jersey, USA - July 10th, 2006 - mFormation® Technologies Inc., the leading provider of mobile device management (MDM) solutions, today announced that it has been granted its latest patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office covering 48 separate claims. The patent, number 6,970,917, is for remote control and management of wireless devices. The granting of this patent demonstrates mFormation’s role as a pioneer in the MDM industry and the sophistication of its product offering.

The patent generally relates to software system, programs and methods for remotely and automatically managing wireless devices, and data on the wireless devices, over any type of wireless network.

mFormation’s comprehensive suite of mobile device management software is protected by the patent. This includes the mFormation SERVICE MANAGER™ Suite, a fully integrated, modular mobile device management platform that enables mobile operators to remotely configure, update, diagnose, repair, secure and monitor mobile devices over their entire lifecycle.

This patent has 48 separate areas patented which has added greatly to mFormation’s IP portfolio, reflecting its know how and experience in device management. Further to this mFormation has a number of patents pending and in development for core mobile and wireless device management technologies.
