mFormation Provides Comprehensive Device Management for Symbian OS

Joins Symbian Platinum Program

Edison, NJ — November 18, 2003 — mFormation® Technologies Inc., a leading provider of innovative wireless device management software, today announced that it has joined the Symbian Platinum Partner Program to support the emerging market for Symbian OS™ smartphones. As a Platinum Partner, mFormation is working with Symbian to ensure that its MFORMATION SERVICE MANAGER software suite is optimized for Symbian OS-based smartphones. Symbian develops and licenses Symbian OS, the global industry standard operating system for smartphones, to the world’s leading handset manufacturers, which account for over 80 per cent of annual worldwide mobile phone sales.

Available for all smartphones based on Symbian OS, MFORMATION SERVICE MANAGER is used to provision and configure devices over the air, diagnose device and data service problems, and proactively manage the services delivered to the subscriber. These capabilities enable mobile operators and service providers to dramatically accelerate rollouts of data services on new smartphones and applications based on Symbian OS, enhance customer satisfaction and improve operational effectiveness.
