mFormation Releases Version 3.5 of Industry’s Most Comprehensive Mobile Device Management Solution

New Features Include OMA DM and FOTA Capabilities, Extended Configuration Settings and Web-services APIs

EDISON, New Jersey, October 11, 2005 - mFormation® Technologies Inc. (http://www.mformation.com), a leading provider of mobile device management software, today announced the availability of version 3.5 of their market-leading mobile device management solution, the mFormation SERVICE MANAGER™ Suite.

The mFormation SERVICE MANAGER Suite is a fully integrated, modular MDM platform that provides mobile operators with the ability to configure, update, deploy, support, repair and secure data services on mobile devices over their entire lifecycle, enabling operators to accelerate service adoption and revenues, and significantly improve the customer experience. Version 3.5 includes full support for OMA DM V1.1.2 standards, including firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updates via both the OMA DL and DM Replace mechanisms, and scheduling and lifecycle management for software and firmware update packages from any source. The release also includes extended configuration capabilities for new phone services such as Instant Messaging (IM), push-to-talk (PTT) and streaming audio/video, enhanced capabilities for monitoring voice call service and failures, and easy-to-use Web-services APIs to ensure seamless integration with operators’ existing OSS/BSS environments.

“Wireless data devices and services are becoming an enormous revenue opportunity for mobile operators, but the complexity of the data environment can make it difficult to provide a consistent and reliable customer experience, affecting data service adoption rates,” said Upal K. Basu, mFormation Co-founder and VP of Marketing and Business Development. “mFormation’s solution is being used by the leading mobile operators in the US and Europe to address these complexities. The modular, integrated nature of the mFormation SERVICE MANAGER Suite makes it easy for mobile operators to address their immediate device management needs while they plan for the future. And as the needs of our mobile operator customers evolve, the flexibility of the platform enables us to easily extend our device management capabilities to meet those needs.”
