mFormation Successfully Demonstrates Interoperability with CDMA Devices at Open Mobile Alliance Test Fest
Passes All OMA Tests for the Third Consecutive Time
EDISON, New Jersey, October 11, 2005 - mFormation® Technologies Inc. (http://www.mformation.com), a leading provider of mobile device management software, today announced successful participation in the latest round of interoperability testing at the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Test Fest held September 2005 in Seoul, Korea. mFormation successfully tested the mFormation SERVICE MANAGER™ DM server using OMA’s Device Management (DM) V1.1.2 enabler test plan and specification, establishing interoperability between the mFormation server and OMA DM V1.1.2 clients from several major CDMA client vendors. This is the third consecutive Test Fest event at which mFormation passed all tests.
The mFormation SERVICE MANAGER™ Suite is the only comprehensive mobile device management solution in the industry, providing configuration of wireless device and service settings, remote device diagnostics and repair, OTA software and firmware updates, real-time service quality and performance monitoring, and enterprise self-care capabilities. In this latest round of interoperability testing, bi-directional communication between the mFormation DM server and CDMA device clients was tested, including retrieving, sending, modifying and deleting device settings, and receiving confirmation and other alerts from the devices during device management actions. In prior Test Fests, mFormation has passed all OMA DM and OMA CP tests.
OMA’s Test Fests are designed to help OMA member companies develop and deploy fully interoperable products and services that accelerate end-user adoption of mobile devices and services.
“As a leader in the mobile device management market, we are committed to interoperability testing,” said Rakesh Kushwaha, mFormation Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer. “Our ongoing participation at OMA Test Fests helps us to ensure interoperability between mFormation’s device management products and the broadest possible range of independently developed, standards-based device clients across all network protocols. This helps remove barriers to the adoption of mobile devices and services for our mobile operator customers.” mFormation® Technologies Inc.
