MFORMATION SERVICE MANAGER provides two separate automatic device management components that can help to intelligently automate mobile service deployments, Automatic Device Detector and Automation Manager.

Automatic Device Detector (ADD):

The Automatic Device Detector module enables mobile operators to detect a device as soon as it connects to the network. Upon detecting a device, ADD can be used to automatically trigger various device management actions within MFORMATION SERVICE MANAGER, including configuration, diagnostics, application deployment and content filtering. It uses the proven and widely deployed SS7 connectivity protocol and covers the widest range of network types in the industry, supporting both standard and propriety protocols with a single unified platform. By automatically detecting devices on the network and providing information about them, ADD also helps mobile operators with fraud protection, customer care and business intelligence efforts.

Automation Manager:

Automation Manager is a powerful and flexible rule-based engine that can be used to automate a range of device management capabilities, including activating, provisioning and configuring new devices, checking device settings and repairing them, updating out-of-date software on devices and updating device firmware OTA. This ensures that mobile devices are always correctly configured, and that device, service, software and firmware problems on the device can be repaired proactively and automatically. Using Automation Manager, mobile operators can significantly reduce the resources and operational overhead of managing mobile devices.
