GSM Configuration Manager

Automatic, OTA configuration and provisioning of mobile GSM devices

Mobile devices, from low-end phones to smart phones and converged devices, support a wide range of services including email, video messaging, Internet access and business applications. To realize these services’ potential, devices must be correctly configured at all times. However, configuring phones is a cumbersome, complicated task, and even small service changes such as switching a SIM card can require updates. Almost two-thirds of devices require reconfiguration after sale, customers cannot be expected to manually input many operator and service settings, and returning devices for reconfiguration is not practical. Without automated over-the-air (OTA) service configuration, customers may get frustrated and switch operators, slowing new services adoption and revenues.

Mformation’s GSM Configuration Manager enables operators to set key mobile device configuration settings OTA automatically or on demand, throughout the device lifecycle. This enables customers to access services on their GSM devices first time, every time, and helps operators realize more revenue from their service offerings. GSM Configuration Manager supports more than 1,400 different mobile devices, and Mformation adds more supported devices every quarter.
