Mformation Software Technologies India Pvt Ltd is looking for Solutions Engineers in our Bangalore, India office. 

Key responsibilities

Responsible for building and delivering customer solutions, Solutions Engineers/Architects focus on Java J2EE-based application and Oracle database profiling, tuning and optimizing, creating client environments in the lab to emulate use cases and optimize applications.

General requirements

Required:

  • A solid understanding of a UNIX- or Linux-based operating systems; including paging and swapping, inter-process communication, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts (”inode”, “superblock”)
  • Knowledge of clustering technologies (Sun Clustering, VERITAS, HP), system tuning, Java application tuning, and Oracle 9i/10g server setup, tuning, and optimization
  • Experience with test tools (simulators, Java profilers)
  • Network understanding (routing, firewalls, switches), the TCP/IP stack
  • Experience setting up and connecting to storage systems (attached, SAN, etc)
  • J2EE application deployment experience (WebLogic, JBoss, WebSphere, Tomcat)

Optional:

  • Network (application) load balancing (Cisco, f5)
  • Some development experience
  • Wireless telecommunication architecture knowledge
  • Experience installing and maintaining network cabling
  • Experience installing boards and memory into systems
  • The ability to write scripts in some administrative language (Tk, Perl, a shell)

Education and work experience:

  • Five or more years related work experience
  • BE / ME / MCA / MSc. with at least 65% aggregate in all qualifications
