Mformation Software Technologies India Pvt Ltd is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for our CST program in our Bangalore, India office. The Customer Solutions Test (CST) Team is part of the Test Engineering department and is responsible for writing and executing customer use cases, on-site customer testing support, and third-party interoperability and integration testing. The CST team also provides level-2 support for pre-production customer deployments and is responsible for testing hot-fixes and patches prior to field release.

General requirements

Required:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong testing methodologies, Automation skills, knowledge of Rational products
  • Writing, automating and executing Customer Acceptance Test Plans
  • Experience helping to troubleshoot and reproduce problems and issues found in the field for development inspection and debugging
  • Hot fix project management, including the tracking, testing and releasing of all hot fixes to a particular customer
  • Ability to liaise with the specific customer program manager to ensure planning and execution for ATP and upgrade scripts are accounted for and charged accordingly
  • Excellent communication skills and customer interfacing experience

Desireable:

  • Experience working in a wireless operator environment, or secondarily experience with a mobile device manufacturer or vendor selling in to wireless operators
  • Knowledge of SMS, WAP, GSM, GPRS, MMS
  • Knowledge of Rational Functional Tester and Test Manager
  • Strong working knowledge of UNIX, SQL and Java

Education and work experience:

  • BE / ME / MCA with at least 65% aggregate in all qualifications
