Dr. Rakesh Kushwaha, CTO and Co-founder
For past seven years Rakesh has been dealing with the issues of wireless device management at Mformation. He pioneered and delivered device management solutions over packet-based wireless networks such as CDPD (AT&T/Verizon) and Mobitex (Ericcson) in 90s. He believes that even though new wireless packet-based technologies (GRPS, 1xRTT, UMTS, WiFi) have appeared in early millennium, the business needs for device management remain same as of earlier wireless network solutions.
Prior to founding Mformation, Rakesh spent more than ten years building leading-edge operational support systems (OSS) to manage wireless, IP and telecommunication services. He has designed and implemented service management systems for telecommunications companies including AT&T, Concert Communications and Millicom Cellular International. Before Mformation, Rakesh was Vice President of Engineering at Savera Systems (Millicom Cellular International) where he managed the design, development and deployment of highly scaleable, real-time operational support systems in Western European and North American wireless markets.
Before Savera, Rakesh was a senior member of the technical staff at Bell Laboratories and an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Rakesh is the author of numerous patents and technical papers. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Master’s of Science degrees from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Delhi University.
Quote
"Mobility is becoming pervasive and most enterprises are not aware of the breadth or nature of the problems around the management of mobile devices. With Mformation's solution, operators can offer a complete, value-added hosted service under their own brands. Not only can they now ensure that mobile devices are properly configured and updated, but they can also transparently provide the requisite security capabilities, so end users don't have to worry whether the network and their data is secure or not."Jon Arnold
